More paintings to come also a limited edition sculpture of yours truly.  IT will be the model kit version of the ETERNAL LOVERS painting.

Another painting by Daniel Horne completed!!! This rendering will be reproduced on the cover of "THE BOOK OF FAMILIARS", a strategy guide for a popular role-playing game TROLL LORDS. Published by TROLL LORD GAMES.

(Tap into: http://www.trolllord.com/) You can see a larger version on the ARTWORK page of this site!

Discontent with the void of female directors, Young is helming a short film which she discribes as "the opening volley for next year's trendy zombie rip-offs!" According to grapevine buzz, Alexxus will play a solo role in the short. We have also heard that she's consulting "Ghostwatcher" director, David Cross, to play the main role in his upcoming film "Darkness". Click below to tap into the "Ghostwatcher" site!

Sci-Fi Diva, LLC. Press Release

I'm negotiating the release of my book, "Drive-In Specials," for a summer 03' debut (publisher McFarlane & Company is among the prospects). The book is a chronicle of the B-film commerce tailored for the "passion pits": a surfeit of actresses, indelibly linked to the drive-in trade, recount their career and behind-the-scenes contretemps including the late Rene Bond (INVASION OF THE BEE GIRLS), the late Cheryl Rainbeaux" Smith (MASSACRE AT CENTRAL HIGH), the late Zoe Tamerlis (MS. 45), Marla English (THE SHE CREATURE), Helga Line (HORROR EXPRESS), June Wilkinson (MACUMBA LOVE, PRIVATE LIFE OF ADAM AND EVE), Mary Woronov (DEATH RACE 2000), Frances Raines (BAD GIRLS DORMITORY), Jillian Kesnar (RAW FORCE), et al. The ensemble includes the voluptuous vamps of Hammer horror: interviews with Ingrid Pitt (THE VAMPIRE LOVERS), Caroline Munro (CAPTAIN KRONOS, VAMPIRE HUNTER), Valerie Leon (BLOOD FROM THE MUMMY?S TOMB), Barbara Leigh ( the first flesh incarnation of VAMPIRELLA, she was cast in Hammer's aborted adaptation of the character), et al.

In the boys club: the late Mark Haggard (THE ALL AMERICAN GIRL), Sam Raimi (SPIDERMAN 2002), Tobe Hooper (TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE), Herschell Gordon Lewis (2000 MANIACS), Jack H. Harris (THE BLOB), Andy Sidaris (MALIBU EXPRESS), Russ Meyer (THE IMMORAL MR. TEAS), Alex Gordon, Fred Olen Ray, Jim Wynorski, et al. Bonus: recovered personal correspondence from the late Robert Bloch, author of PSYCHO, who recalls the censorship of his scripts as well as scenes that wound-up on the cutting room floor.

I actually volunteered to be cast in a couple of low-budget (horror/sci-fi) movies. As a result, I'm transplanting all behind-the scenes tales into the book's linking narrative. I will also include personal artwork of Hammer's femme fatales.

Your Sci-Fi Diva,

Alexxus Young

CEO Sci-Fi Diva, LLC.

p.s. I recently contacted Tom Sullivan (EVIL DEAD), Ben Chapman (CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON), and Connie Mason (2000 MANIACS, BLOOD FEAST)  who all agreed to do a interview or write a  paragraph or two about their experience with drive-ins and film making!  Keep on the lookout for more upcoming celebrity contributions!

COVER GIRL

Can't disclose anything to revelatory, but Alexxus posed for a couple of paintings that will reproduced as front covers. We can't reveal the title of the international magazine till early 2003, but it is likely the covers will debut by spring/summer 2003.
