hotel rooms London SMS Services

SMS Services have become very popular in India.  Every company worth its salt has started using the SMS Services to attract customers. Even Television channels use these SMS Services to gather public opinion on various topics. Sony Television broadcasts a program called "Bid to Win" where the viewers are shown various products and are asked to bid for them by sending an sms indicating their bid to a particular number.

voyage GlasgowThese sort of services are fine as long as the mobile numbers are not misused. For me the greatest example of misuse of a sms service is 8888 which is run by indiatimes.com.  You can get the latest news or jokes through this service. You can even participate in quizzes. All this fine. Once you send an sms to 888 you are hooked for life(or till you change your mobile number). There is no way you can opt out of this service. Sometimes when they send you an sms you end up paying for the sms which is sheer stupidity. Does anybody know how to opt out of this service.
